SBI Cards IPO is a state bank of India subsidiary and it is India’s 2nd largest credit card issuer with more than 94 lakh credit cards. More than spending of 98000 CR in the terms of credit cards and it is 17.9% of market shares.

On August 20, 1919, SBI Card was converted to Public Limited Company from private company and renamed to SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited. In March 2020, SBI Card became the first pure play credit card company to be listed on a stock exchange in India.

SBI Card is headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana. SBI Card was launched in October 1998 by State Bank of India and GE Capital. SBI held 74% while Carlyle held 26% stake in the Company.
